  21. As Leonard has already pointed out, the DSF manual says an INSTALL (i.e.
  22. full initialization) is required for 3380K after they have been moved.
  23. HOWEVER, last Christmas we moved our computer room, including several
  24. strings of 3380Ks, about two miles.  IBM did the move, rehooked up
  25. everything, ran their diagnostics, and said the Ks (as well as the rest
  26. of the DADD) were ok.  We did not run DSF against them and we did not
  27. have problems.

  29. IBM told us ahead of time that they did not expect any problems.
  30. Management planned the move without allowing time for reinitialization
  31. of the Ks.  Tech support fully expected the worse to happen and to have
  32. to initialize the Ks but Murphy was on vacation.
