  12. TCU provides off-campus modem access without distincting "classes"
  13. of users (i.e., faculty compete with students).  We have 6800 students,
  14. about 350 faculty and 16 dial-in lines.  There are also 5 dial-out
  15. lines for connection (particularly from on-campus) to other services.
  16. We STRONLYy discourage on-campus modems since our phone system is
  17. digital.  So far this has been adequate but we, too, are constantly
  18. monitoring demand and are prepared to expand the bank of modems
  19. as the need arises.  Our CWIS is still somewhat rudimentary so
  20. demands from non-TCU-related persons are minimal.
