-
- Absolutely not!! We have enough free stuff already. If those PD/shareware
- authors format their software and toast their hardware, it's their own
- fault. I don't know why we should even consider sending them money, when
- they admit in the DOCs of everything they write that they're writing it
- for free!
-
- And besides, if we DO send them money, what would they do with it?
- No doubt they would go buy more hardware and start writing even more
- free stuff. What a waste! Don't they know we are all very happy with
- our commercial word processors that cost $599 apiece?? We didn't
- ask them to write all those programs and MODs that keep clogging
- all our FTP sites!
-
- The way I see it, if we all make an effort to STOP sending money to
- PD beggars on the net, then their funds will eventually run dry.
- Then they will be forced to stop uploading this crap and get real jobs.
- Our FTP sites will become squeaky-clean finally, and better yet,
- we won't have to put up with programs like ProTracker or MED when
- we could shell out real money for real programs like Sonix that are
- much better because there are far less "options" and controls to
- confuse the user.
-
- All we have to do is restrain ourselves from sending money to these
- people. Take EdPlayer 2.0 users, for instance. They set a fine
- example.
