-
- I dunno about #hack, but #Twilight_Zone people tend to get irritated
- answering every little question. "How can I compile <insert name of
- program that usually has nothing to do with irc here>?" "How can I fix
- it so that I can run my ircIIbot?" "so and so took my nick, how can I
- get it back?", etc.
-
- I'm not saying #Twilight_Zone'rs won't answer questions. It's just that
- after 6,000,000 worthless questions a day, #T_Z'ers can be just a little
- irritated. Give us a chance, we're human, we get angry just as much as
- the next person. Although we try to answer questions to the best of our
- ability, sometimes it's impossible (I've had people ask me how to dial
- into their local computer network! As if I'd know!)
-
- #Twilight_Zone'rs will help with general questions, but sometimes
- questions like "how do I setup my VMS client?" can't be answered (mostly
- because VMS people aren't around all the time) and other ones (like the
- script one you mentioned).
-
- If you're having ircII problems, try mailing the ircII mailing list
- (info-ircii+@andrew.cmu.edu).
