  25. Fabrikant seems to have sent his documents to a big list of people
  26. of whom he had e-mail addresses of. It seems likely that he took his
  27. list from the joint membership records of the AMS (American Mathematical
  28. Society) and SIAM (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics).
  29. I did not know who is Fabrikant until this incidence, but he probably 
  30. thought that people on the above societies would have some professional
  31. understanding of his scientific contributions.

  34. relevant to the readership of that group. Slightly after the postings
  35. have started I posted also to sci.research.
