  29.                    Salary:  CDN $35,000 to 57,500
  30.              depending on qualifications and experience

  33.         A Reactor Physicist is required to perform nuclear reactor core
  34.         design, safety assessments and related support, and to develop
  35.         computer programs to assist analysis of data.  The work may
  36.         include fuel characterization studies, radiation transport
  37.         calculations, fuel geometry optimization, and reactor operation
  38.         and safety-related assessments.  The above tasks include code
  39.         development to expand existing capability, automate routine
  40.         tasks or improve code efficiency.

  42.         An advanced degree in Physics or Nuclear Engineering and a
  43.         strong background in computer programming and utilization are
  44.         required for this position.  A bachelor degree with high
  45.         academic standing and relevant experience would also be
  46.         considered.

  48.         While previous experience with neutron diffusion theory,
  49.         multigroup neutron transport theory or Monte Carlo calculational
  50.         techniques would be a definite asset, less experienced
  51.         candidates with an ability to adapt quickly to new challenges
  52.         are encouraged to apply.  Demonstrated technical report writing
  53.         and oral communications skills would be useful assets.

  56.   recreational/residential community on the banks of the Winnipeg River,
  57.   northeast of Winnipeg.  We are a 1000 employee laboratory with
  58.   research interests in both nuclear and non-nuclear activities.  The
  59.   laboratory has a strong, comprehensive complement of in-house support
  60.   services/facilities and research is well supported with advanced
  61.   experimental equipment and computers.
