- OK, I've long refrained from getting into this discussion - but as it gets
- sillier by the hour, here's my two cents:
- Surveys showing married men being happier than unmarried man are wrong
- because they never interview me (at least the last part of the sentence is
- true). To put down the other half of the equation: I don't mind living
- half as long as the average married mathematician (I'm a physicist, BTW),
- as long as I don't have to marry!

- And Janet, we seem to have read the same newspaper reports :-) The amazing
- thing about them is that they imply that people ARE getting happier as
- they marry - I've never understood why ... Now if someone could dig up
- the real references, to enable us to shoot down this misuse of statistics
- :-)
