- Hi folks,
-
- I have a question about modems. My knowledge of modems
- is limited to simply using them ( besides knowing in theory
- what they do !).
-
- The question is:
-
- Is there a particular kind of hardware protocol/ and or modem
- made by a particular manufacturer(s) that has a high tolerance
- for noise in the phone line.
-
- I'm interested in taking a 2400 baud modem to India, where
- the telephones lines are quite "noisy". A modem with heavy-duty
- error checking is probabably what I'm looking for.
-
- Any tips, pointers would be appreciated.
