- Check the intake manifold bolts and retorque if necessary. I got roped into
- fixing up a neighbor's 305 Z-28 a while back and had to chase down a big-time
- oil burning/fouling problem. Turned out that the intake bolts were not even
- 10 lb-ft tight. You could see bubbles coming out between the intake and the
- head, and who knows what going in. There was oil being drawn in from the valley
- splash.

- Worn valve guides/seals is the other Usual Suspect. More work to get to
- though.
