  12. I've got a rather frustrating engine problem with my 1986 Pontiac Sunbird that
  13. has persisted for the last month. When driving on the open highway my engine cu
  14. ts out rather abruptly for a split second. This seems to happen when I'm travel
  15. ing between 55 - 65 MPH and am traveling on an inclined road. So far I have tri
  16. ed the following things with no luck.

  18. - Had the engine checked by a mechanic with computer engine analysis
  19. - Had the fuel filter replaced
  20. - Had the Oxygen Sensor Reset
  21. - Had the timing reset
  22. - Ran only high octane fuel for the past month
  23. - Used a fuel additive to clean the fuel injectors and intake valves
  24.  
  25. If anyone has any ideas on what to try next I'd appreciate it. I hate to keep
  26. spending big bucks at the mechanic if he can't find out what the problem is.
