- Yep, that's the sound it makes. You really can't tell if there was
- internal damage-- it happens so quickly. I have had timing belts break
- on me in an 85 Sentra and an 86 Accord. In the Sentra, 8 valves needed
- to be replaced (it was cheaper to put a used head on it). In the
- Accord, there was no damage. They both died the same way, and made the
- same sounds aftrewards (spinning with no compression). Call Toyota and
- ask their service department if your car has an "interference" engine.
