  11.      Okay, what now?  So, I took a couple of months off from writing.
  12. What's the big deal.  No harm done right?  Wrong!
  13.      I found out last night what was wrong.  I'm impotent!  Well at
  14. least when it comes to writing done a good line or two.  I actually
  15. found an excuse not to write when I did sit down, and for the first time
  16. I couldn't think of anything interesting to write.  No clever titles
  17. or quick dialogue.  Just a couple of sentence fragments and a couple
  18. of comma splices for my efforts.  I tried to tell myself that I would
  19. write later in the evening when all the boring stuff on television
  20. came on.  But did I do that?  You guessed it, I sat in front of the
  21. tube and went brain dead for a couple of hours.
  22.      The sad part was or is that I really enjoy writing and in the last
  23. year and a half I have had no trouble coming up with short stories or
  24. a couple hundred pages towards my novel.  I don't have writers block as
  25. much as I have the same sympthoms of going back to work after a long
  26. vacation.  I have to many stories to tell and not enough time as it
  27. is, so this feeling of blah has to find somewhere or someone else to
  28. bother.  Writing has (is) my way of inventing that requires less of
  29. my intellectual resources than when I was working on my inventions.
  30. But the ability to create has been taken away by inactivity and I
  31. hope that by just writing this posting I will bring some of it back
  32. soon.

  34.      Now to the question at hand.  What can I do to get back into
  35. the swing of writing and more importantly finishing my novel?  I
  36. suppose that everyone has a different technique or idea and I
  37. would appreciate reading what others have done.
