- Actually, there's more truth to that than I really want to
- admit. After reading the various responses to my rather off-
- handed original post, I'm inclined to think that I've
- simply been very lucky and (since my bread-and-butter income
- doesn't depend on steadily marketing my fiction) I probably haven't
- sent out nearly the number of ms. and stories needed to get a
- better feel for the reality of the business.
