- Evidently it depends on the popper. Ours never smoked, but took kind of a
- long time. Our friend's model smoked a bit, but roasted fast--so fast, ti
- would produce a really dark roast almost too quickly. You get a lot of chaff
- regardless, about what you would expect from the amount of beans. The chaff
- is light enough to be carried away on the current of warm air.
