- On Thursday, Aug. 27, The Freedom Forum will host "The Media and
- Race Relations in Washington, D.C.," a town hall meeting, in
- conjunction with the Asian American Journalist Association's
- National Convention in Washington, D.C.
- At this session, community leaders and journalists will square
- off on the provocative issue of race and media coverage. Following
- brief remarks, guests and media will be invited to pose questions
- to the panel.

- of the national organizations of Black, Asian-American, Hispanic
- and Native American professional journalists.
- The Freedom Forum, of Arlington, Va., is a financially
- independent organization dedicated to free press, free speech and
- free spirit for all people. It is supported entirely by an
- endowment created by Frank E. Gannett in 1935 that has grown to
- more than $700 million in diversified, managed assets. It furthers
- its priorities through programs, publications, and projects that
- promote the understanding and exercise of freedom and values
- embodied in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
