  16. Not for long.  Once the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade is signed,
  17. you'll have all the same horrors in your patent law that we have in ours,
  18. plus additional ones, thanks to the Bush Administration figuring out that
  19. treaties can be a sneaky way to legislate a huge expansion of
  20. "intellectual property rights".  Fortunately it's being held up by a
  21. battle on agricultural subsidies, so it isn't international law yet.
