- I have an HP 9000/360, running HP-UX 7.05. My keyboard has an <Extend Char>
- key, which I would like to use as the Meta key, rather than the current
- default, which is <ESC>. This key meets the necessary criterion for the
- Meta key, as it operates successfully in this capacity when I am running
- the Athena text widget (XRN's default POST editor is this widget).
-
- Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to teach emacs to use this key
- instead of <ESC>. Can anyone help? Please post to this newsgroup, as I
- have seen various forms of htis question posted before, but never an
- answer. Thanks!
