  16. As the subject might suggest this question is about how to 
  17. get the maximum users under Ultrix 4.2A to go from 2 to 32...
  18.  
  19. Thus far I have installed 4.2A and brought it up to multiuser
  20. mode (multi in this case = 2), the maxuser setting in the config 
  21. file of my host is 32, I have installed the Ultrix licence paks.
  22. I was also informed that a file /upgrade is needed to go to
  23. the 32 user liscence, which I rcp'd from a DECStation of similar
  24. pedigree (5000/120).

  26. Now for the fun bit. I installed off an optical drive. When I remove 
  27. the drive from the scsi chain, the system crashes on boot, with a cpu 
  28. panic. When I put the drive back, the system boots to multiuser mode
  29. but still with only two users maximum. Weird huh? Perhaps not. If you
  30. can see the stupid thing that I am doing... please tell me...

  32. Also, to kill two birds with one stone, we have a drive failure a few 
  33. days ago. Unfortunately I have lost the piece of paper with the errors
  34. that I had xscribbled down. The main part of it came to the fact that 
  35. sectors 16-31 could not be read... Any ideas, utils that can get at a disk
  36. known to anyone...
