- hi netlanders!
-
- i'm looking for info on the system v.4 virtual file system. at the present,
- i have a "binary-only" version of (interactive) system v.4, with the
- "standard" system v.4 documentation.
-
- the info i'm looking for i haven't found in the actual documentation, and
- of course the header files only give me a limited understanding of what's
- going on. what i'd like to know is how the VFS works, what exact functions
- one would have to support in a vfs driver, and if anyone has any experience
- in writing a vfs driver for any kind of filesystem that she/he would
- like to share.
-
- i'm not sure whether there is information publicly available, or just
- for people with a source-license. but if there's anyone who knows more
- about vfs internals i'd be happy to get pointers to documentation or a
- more detailled description of vfs and vfs drivers.
-
- thanks a lot,
- felix
