  13. i'm looking for info on the system v.4 virtual file system. at the present,
  14. i have a "binary-only" version of (interactive) system v.4, with the
  15. "standard" system v.4 documentation.

  17. the info i'm looking for i haven't found in the actual documentation, and
  18. of course the header files only give me a limited understanding of what's
  19. going on. what i'd like to know is how the VFS works, what exact functions
  20. one would have to support in a vfs driver, and if anyone has any experience
  21. in writing a vfs driver for any kind of filesystem that she/he would
  22. like to share.

  24. i'm not sure whether  there is information publicly available, or just
  25. for people with a source-license. but if there's anyone who knows more
  26. about vfs internals i'd be happy to get pointers to documentation or a
  27. more detailled description of vfs and vfs drivers.
