- I am having problems using my QMS410PS laser printer with Dell Unix. I
- have hooked the printer to the serial port (The manual states that there
- is a problem if you use the parallel port and so there is) and have
- configured the printer as an ascii printer (no -T PS in lpadmin). So
- far so good, I can print ascii files. If I try configuring it as a PS
- printer (lpadmin -T PS -p ps -v /dev/tty00a) and send it a postscript
- file, the printer hangs after receiving the first packet with the
- active light on. Has anyone gotten a serial PS printer to work??
-
- Please, I am not even remotely interested in flames/comments about
- Dell support (With the exception of the very BAD musac when you are
- on hold, I am happy with them).
