- The first thing I did, and I just installed 2.2 this last week, was to load
- the optional sources then rebuild cnews, nn and rn to not use nntp. This was
- also a convenient time to remove the "dell.com" references from various
- control files and .h files.
-
- Hey Dell, how about including a simple cookbook set of instructions for getting
- rid of the Dell specific stuff. Many of us Dell users have very simple setups
- where things like nntp are unnecessary complications. Without even a simple
- README file that details how you set things up (i.e. nntp verses non-nntp),
- it takes a _long_ while to figure out how you've configured things.
- People who've installed these things often over the last however many
- years may not need the help, but those of us relatively new to this stuff
- could benefit a lot!
