- I've got a smallish SCO UNIX box on a faculty desktop (well, 386-33/8MB/80MB
- with ATI Graphics Vantage and an SMC Elite16 Combo card). I'd like to put as
- much ODT 1.1 software as possible on an NFS server which could be mounted via
- NFS and used as though it is locally mounted on the desktop machine.
-
- Could someone outline an appropriate procedure to be followed during software
- installation (maybe either 'mount -f NFS,soft server:/home/server/usr /usr' or
- maybe 'ln -s /usr /home/server' or whatever) which would allow me to install
- the minimum system necessary to get NFS up & running -- and then to install a
- full set of developement tools. Also, cautions on any gotcha's would be good.
-
- Finally, can the server hosted software be used on more than one SCO ODT 1.1
- system (we have licenses for two BASE, SERVER & DEVELOPMENT systems) -- or is
- the software branding such that we can only use it on one system?
-
- Thanks, Merlin
