- I recently bought an AMD 386-40Mhz clone motherboard and installed it in my
- AT compatible case. I tried to boot ISC 2.0.2 from drive A, but I had no
- luck in getting it going. The hardware I have is:
-
- AMD 306-40Mhz clone motherboard
- UMC chipset
- AMI BIOS
- 8MB memory
- Genoa SuperEGA HIRes+ video card
- Amdek 722 monitor
- Seagate ST-251 hard disk
- 3:1 MFM controller
- I/O card
- 220 watt power supply
- Maxi-Switch keyboard
-
- After I cold boot with the ISC boot disk in drive A, I get the message
- "Booting the UNIX system..." and see some disk activity. Finally, after
- 4 minutes the screen goes blank and the system hangs in limbo. Any ideas
- before I take the motherboard back? I did disable caching, shadow ROM and
- shadow RAM.
-
- Thanks,
- Philippe
