- Unless I misunderstood the start of this thread, it looks like the example
- cited here is writing 488 MB (512121856 bytes) to the tape.

- From what I recall of the early days of Archive streamers, that might be all
- that fits on a 525MB tape, with repeated blocks occasionally.
