- To all you unix gurus, this is what I have.
- 1 Data General server and many, many Data
- General workstations.
- This is the problem. The server has the
- message of the day (motd) on it. Which naturally
- contains all info of any importance. Users are now
- to lazy to rlogin to the server since many applications
- are now able to be run on their local workstations.
- So they complain "Well I didn't know this or that"
- since they no longer view the motd on a regular basis.
- How can I get the one motd on the server, everytime it's
- updated, to all the workstations???
- To ftp it six dozen times is not practical. is there
- a script or a C program that can be executed after every
- update???
- Any help that can be offered will most definately be
- appreciated!!!
- Please e-mail mfugazzo@resdgs1.er.usgs.gov or post here.
-
- Again thanks in advance!!!!
