  12. Going through the man page on ps, I came across a section about flags
  13. dealing with a process.  One of the flags was SOWEUPC with an
  14. explanation of, "Process is owed a profiling tick."
  15.  
  16. My first question, what is a profiling tick?  My second, why not just
  17. have the scheduler just adjust the priority to move it to the begining
  18. of the queue?
