- Since I have MacLinkPlus, I also have DOS Mounter 3.00. What this CDEV
- does, for those who are curious, is enable DOS floppies to appear on the
- Mac desktop - very nice. The thing is that it makes _all_ floppy disk
- access (under A/UX... the MacOS too) _very_ slow, whether it's a DOS
- disk or a Mac disk.
-
- There are two other similar packages out there: Access PC and Apple's own
- Mac PC Exchange.
-
- My question: does anyone know if either of these other two packages are
- fully compatible with A/UX (you would hope Mac PC Exc. would be, coming
- from Apple... yeah, sure)? I've heard that both are quicker than DOS Mounter
- and they run about the same price but it's the compatibility question
- that's the key.
-
- Thanks.
