- Hello;
-
- I now have to deal with a line mode transfer when I dial into the campus
- network, and boy does it suck! I have access to two hayes modems. They
- are only 2400 bds, but speed is not really a factor. I want to know what
- I need to do to get into a login prompt and vt100 emulation.
-
- 1) What type of cable do I need to go from my Aux mac to my modem. I have the
- pin out specs for the modem if I need to make a cable.
-
- 2) How do I need to set the hardware switces on the Hayes modem. I think:
-
- 1--dowm
- 2--N/A
- 3--up
- 4--down
- 5--up
- 6--up
- 7--up
- 8--up
-
- 3) What files do I need to set up so that AUX will know that there is a modem
- available to handle incomming calls.
-
- 4) What do I need to put in these files.
-
- 5) do I need to run any programs like cu or uucp to handle the modem
- connection, or do I handle it as a port.
-
