- Well, I apologize. Apparently I am too paranoid for my own good.
- Usually, when I obtain a package, I make it in a temp directory
- and run it there (not as root) to make sur eit works before I install
- it. I thought that the only thing I needed to take care of was to
- copy the Axe.ad to the /.../app-defaults directory and I would be
- able to run it. I asked a lot of questions when it did not work
- for me. Apparently, there are others like me, so ... All I had
- to do was to make install after the make and the program ran fine.
- It depended not only on the Axe.ad file, but also on all of the .help
- files that are included with the package. So, if you were having
- the same trouble I did with aXe segmentation faults upon invocation,
- this may be the answer.
-
- Thanks to everyone that took the time to respond both in this
- group and via e-mail.
-
- Humbly,
-
- James
