  10. I just transferred a bunch of files from an RT using

  12. remsh remote_sys "tar cf - /home" | tar xf -

  14. and all the directories were restored with permission rwxr-sr-x. Can anyone
  15. tell me why this happened? More importantly now, does setgid permission
  16. for a directory actually do anything?  Please email and I will summarize.
