  16. I've recently had something very STRANGE happen to my 950 
  17. while using it as a NFS server. I mount a disk from my 950
  18. running AIX 3.2 on a Sun 630. This disk contains a LARGE
  19. amount of source code, during a build on the Sun I noticed 
  20. a large amount of RPC not responding errors, and finally I 
  21. started getting NFS write errors, at this point NFS appeared
  22. hung.. Well, I unmounted the disk from the sun, and tried 
  23. to remount it, but it appeared screwed up, So I took a look 
  24. at the file system on the 950. The file system is /usr/iefsrc, 
  25. which is its own VG:

  33. all the files under /usr/iefsrc appeared to be there (this level
  34. only contains directorys) but when I changed into any directory
  35. and did a ls I received a . not found error. This occurred for 
  36. all of the directorys under the mount point. At this point I 
  37. had to bring the machine down to maintenance mode, run fsck and
  38. then I rebooted just to make sure, and then everything was 
  39. fine.

  41. Has anybody seen this kind of strangeness before???

  43. Also after the reboot I found some file with 0 size, on other
  44. file systems (I was using xv *.gif, and after the reboot all 
  45. of the gif files had 0 size ????)
