  12. Has anyone noticed how slowly an X application written with the Athen Widget
  13. set is when it comes to either reorganizing the buttons in a box or removing
  14. such a window from the screen?  If you have a lot of MH folders and you run
  15. xmh, then execute the "close window" function to make it go away, it takes a
  16. long time to disappear from the screen!  You can see the server removing one
  17. button at a time every second, until most of them are gone, then the whole
  18. window finally disappears.  I'm wondering if this is a problem in the Athena
  19. Widget set or if it's a bug in IBM implementation of the X11R4 server.  I
  20. called IBM about it but they don't care since they don't see the problem using
  21. a Motif application.  It seems to be slower when removing buttons which use the
  22. shape extension than if it doesn't use that.
