- The ones I have observed on my 8.05 are all related to file locks.
- If the process is trying to lock a file on an NFS mounted partition,
- and for some reason, the lockd on the NFS server has gone to lunch,
- the client process will not exit with anything until the lockd on
- the server has reappeared and responded.
