- It *only* runs under MS-DOS (or DR-DOS, if you prefer), but it comes
- with an OS/2 utility allowing it to start native OS/2 programs. This
- utility is OS2EXECD.EXE written by Eberhard Mattes. To use it, start
- os2execd.exe from an OS/2 command prompt; it will open a window and
- wait for messages. Start TeXShell and modify e.g. the Options!Output!
- Previewer to use DVIpm, append an exclamation mark '!' to the program
- name. Now press F8 (with an primary or edit file set, of course) and
- TeXShell will send message to os2execd.exe causing it to start DVIpm
- with the required arguments and environment. After termination of
- DVIpm os2execd.exe sends the exit code back to TeXShell, and TeXShell
- is active again. Everything ok? Start os2execd.exe with the -v option
- (verbose) to see the messages sent between it and TeXShell.
