  31.  There seems to be some confusion here -

  33.  Generally speaking:
  34.  SPARC - means the processor architecture
  35.  Sun4  - means a system architecture based on SPARC processors.
  36.      There are many SPARC implementations and all of them are used 
  37.      on machines based on the Sun4 (atleast from Sun) system
  38.      architecture.
  39.      Sun4c, Sun4m and any Sun<x> are variations of the base Sun4
  40.      architecture. All of them differ only in system architecture and
  41.      thus how the kernel is built and run on these.
  42.  
  43.  From an application viewpoint - any SPARC binary will run on any Sun4<x>
  44.  based kernel/system.
