- I am interested in connecting my sparcstation to the local X25
- service (in Australia Telecom calls it AUSTPAC). This sounded
- like a good idea and the phone company rates are very reasonable.
-
- So I looked in the SunExpress catalog and sure enough there was the
- product I needed - SunLink X25 (or so I presume). Then I looked at
- the price - $2,800 (USD) !
-
- So much for a cheap, readily available WAN option.
-
- Having had great success with the public domain ppp implementation
- which is a marvelous program, I thought I would optimistically
- ask around to see if there is a similar program to provide TCP/IP
- over X25 connections ... I don't think I am quite up to writing my
- own, being something of a network and kernel novice.
-
- If anyone can help, or even suggest a more affordable commercial
- product (without a change of platform !) I would appreciate it !
