  13. I am interested in connecting my sparcstation to the local X25
  14. service (in Australia Telecom calls it AUSTPAC). This sounded
  15. like a good idea and the phone company rates are very reasonable.

  17. So I looked in the SunExpress catalog and sure enough there was the
  18. product I needed - SunLink X25 (or so I presume). Then I looked at
  19. the price - $2,800 (USD) !

  21. So much for a cheap, readily available WAN option.

  23. Having had great success with the public domain ppp implementation
  24. which is a marvelous program, I thought I would optimistically
  25. ask around to see if there is a similar program to provide TCP/IP
  26. over X25 connections ... I don't think I am quite up to writing my
  27. own, being something of a network and kernel novice.

  29. If anyone can help, or even suggest a more affordable commercial
  30. product (without a change of platform !) I would appreciate it !
