  11. Hello, I have a NIS configuration with the following servers:

  13. master - sunos 4.1.2
  14. slave  - AIX v3.1
  15. slave  - AIX v3.2
  16. slave  - risc/os 4.52

  18. I have a aliases source file and aliases maps on the master. Whey I try to 
  19. push the aliases map to the servers I get:

  21. bsparc# yppush -v mail.aliases
  22. Finding NIS servers:Map ypslaves.bsparc unknown NIS client error code -- using y
  23. pservers
  24.  bibmrs2 bsparc bibm6k bcmips
  25. bcmips has been called.
  26. bibm6k has been called.
  27. bsparc has been called.
  28. bibmrs2 has been called.
  29. Status received from ypxfr on bsparc:
  30.         Transfer not done:  master's version isn't newer.
  31. No response from ypxfr on bibmrs2
  32. No response from ypxfr on bibm6k
  33. No response from ypxfr on bcmips

  35. In other words it doesn't work. But if I push a different map like:
