- If this has been discussed before please forgive me in advance for asking again.
- I have a 4D35 running Irix 4.0.1 and pandora. I have icons under /usr/lib/faces.
- When I log in everything is ok. Then I bring up the mailbox icon. I do not enter
- the mailbox, I just bring it up. When I log off the system the colors for the
- icons that pandora displays are all wrong. I can still use pandora to log in
- but the colors are off, for instance orange is light green, black is light blue,
- etc..... I tried to login as another user without bring up the mailbox utility
- and then logging out but the colors on the pandora icons are still off. The only
- way to clear this up is to reboot. I do notice that when the colors are displayed
- correctly pandora just comes up in the window with it's white background; but
- after bring up the mailbox icon and logging out, the window is painted black before
- the pandora window is displayed.
- I'm a sys admin type and really don't know a lot about color mapping and sorts
- but could it be that the mailbox utility messed up the color map for the console
- and rebooting resets it. Anyone have a guess what might be happening and how I
- can correct this?
