- Attention SGI Abekas A60 video disk users.
-
- Those who have used the remote A60 controller software found in
- /usr/people/4Dgifts/iristools/abekas/_panel might be interested to
- find I have made extensive modifications to it. Much time was spent
- verifying that the remote graphics control panel (ACP) emulates
- the actual Abekas one as closely as possible:
-
- - bugs fixed
- - Command-line A60 hostname specification
- - 4-digit frame position display
- - Variable play speed now saved (for subsequent variable play selects)
- - Recording implemented
- - Current play status (operation and direction, if known)
- - Play (normal or variable) speed/Recording length
- - More user GUI feedback (color, text...)
- - Userid stamp (displayed on A60 monitor to show current remote userid)
- ...
-
- If you are interested in obtaining the "diffs" contact me via e-mail.
-
- If someone from SGI would comment on if/how I might get the okey-dokey to
- "redistribute" the source ~8 files total) I'd appreciate it.

- William
