  13. Attention SGI Abekas A60 video disk users.
  14.  
  15. Those who have used the remote A60 controller software found in 
  16. /usr/people/4Dgifts/iristools/abekas/_panel might be interested to 
  17. find I have made extensive modifications to it.  Much time was spent
  18. verifying that the remote graphics control panel (ACP) emulates 
  19. the actual Abekas one as closely as possible:

  21.     - bugs fixed
  22.     - Command-line A60 hostname specification
  23.     - 4-digit frame position display
  24.     - Variable play speed now saved (for subsequent variable play selects)  
  25.     - Recording implemented
  26.     - Current play status (operation and direction, if known) 
  27.     - Play (normal or variable) speed/Recording length
  28.     - More user GUI feedback (color, text...)
  29.     - Userid stamp (displayed on A60 monitor to show current remote userid)
