  15. In our institute we have a Personal Iris 4D20G in a thin wired network, in
  16. which are also PC's running Novell 3.11 on the same wire. We use an ipx.com,
  17. that uses the clarkson packet drivers, so our configuration will be :

  23. The Novell Server is used as the IP-Router for our subnet. There is no problem
  24. using ftp from a PC to any UNIX-station (including our iris) but when transporting
  25. files longer than about 1-2 kB between the iris and a UNIX-host outside the
  26. connection breaks down.

  28. We have another unix-computer here, which has no problems like this.

  30. What's going wrong? We have this problem since we use the novell net. Before
  31. that, we had a network based only on TCP/IP and it worked well with our sgi.
