  12.   Hi, I'm new to the SGI world and am trying to get some basic
  13. services built for an Elan and a 480GTXB. I've had success building
  14. several X11-based packages for them, but my build for xrn6-17beta 
  15. is punting.

  17.   A number of widgets are not being found at linking time. The list is
  18. fairly long, and I won't include them here. Some of them I found
  19. described in the man pages, and I presume I could find more if I
  20. looked diligently. I haven't found many hints as to the problem.
  21.   If you've succeeded in building this, did you have to change a
  22. library name in the makefile? What did you do to succeed?
  23.   And if you've also failed to complete the build, was it because
  24. xrn wants some subroutines that aren't available with IRIX 4.0.4?
  25.   
  26.   Lest ye ask, I'd prefer to use xrn than one of the other news readers
  27. presently, largely because I'm too unfamiliar with the SGIs to try to
  28. build nntp yet, and I understand that xrn doesn't require nntp.
