- Nope. I complained at the NWE about this, and I recently sent e-mail to
- NeXT about it. It really bugs the hell out of me that you can't hide the
- File View on startup. Under 3.0 having the Workspace(File Viewer and
- more?) completely launch on logging in is optional, but that's not the
- solution that I want.

- This problem ranks right up there with not having a NeXTstep equivalent to
- X11's DISPLAY environment variable.
