- Money transfers between most european countries can be done for free
- via PostBanks. Other banks will charge between $5 and $10. But transatlantic
- charges seem to be the same on both sides ;-(

- You could:
- - use plastic
- - request AMEXCO [or other] Traveller's Checks
- - open an account in europe and request EuroChecks, which are guaranteed
- for amounts up to ~$300 [you have to send them back tho], or direct
- deposits.
