-
- a) it does switch to english. There are a few minor translation errors,
- but nothing that's significant.
- b) it is not crap. It was quite useful to me for some papers I had to
- write, and I'm no TeX expert.

- Uh, is the name TeXWorks or InstantTeX?
-
- In any case, TeXWorks (InstantTeX?) might be nicer, but I very much disagree
- with the comment that TeXmenu is crap.

-
- The current version of TeXmenu is also considerably cheaper than the price
- quoted above, which may be of interest to people like me. I don't use TeX
- enough to justify spending $150 on improvements to the TeX that is already
- distributed with the NeXT.
-
- For all I know, InstantTeX (TeXWorks?) would be worth the quoted price for
- someone who uses TeX a lot, or in situations that I don't use TeX for. I
- just don't think it's reasonable to say that TeXmenu is crap. Harald (the
- author) requested a donation of $10, although he also put the current
- version in the public domain so paying him *anything* is not a requirement.
- I sent him $20 (if I remember right), and it was certainly worth that much
- to me. He may change his pricing policy for future versions, but the
- current version (which is 2.2) is certainly quite nice for the price.
-
- As an aside, I do think it's interesting to see all this activity in
- supporting TeX on the NeXT. With all these developments it looks like the
- NeXT will be *the* excellent platform for doing TeX documents.
