  11. I'm thinking seriously about getting a NeXTdimension board
  12. despite the (probably well-deserved) flames NeXT has gotten
  13. for its handling of that board.

  15. One question: I know on-board JPEG compression was promised but never
  16. delivered.  Is there anything else that was omitted?  I heard that
  17. support for closed-captioning isn't there; true or false?

  19. Also, I'm wondering about what monitor to use.  I Will Not buy the 
  20. (IMO rather pitifully bad) 17" Philips monitor NeXT OEMs.  The 21"
  21. monitor is very nice, but at almost $3K educational it's quite pricey.

  23. Y'all who have been in the same situation, what did you get?  Sony or NEC
  24. 17+" multisync monitors that can handle the NeXT's scan rate?
