  12. I was just wondering -- is there a program out there that will
  13. act as a phone dialing interface, accessing the modem?

  15. My phone is set up on tone, but the * key is screwed because
  16. that's the memory key.  My school uses phone registration and
  17. requires the * key (the # key on my phone is ok).  I'd like a 
  18. program that looks like a keypad and lets you dial a number, 
  19. then maintains the phone line and lets you dial digits, like
  20. 7923#
  21. 2*415620600#

  23. the above sequence would register cpsc 620 in the 92 fall semester
  24. at a&m for example.

  26. I tried using kermit, but I got only as far as atm2, which sets up
  27. the speaker to be on all the time, and then I managed to call the
  28. registration computer.  But then when I tried to give an action
  29. code, I used atdt7923#, which disconnects the line.
