- I carry my slab back and forth from home to the office (via Delta) every week. So far,
- no problems. The machine seems extremely robust. I just use a generic soft case, and
- xray the thing every time (too much hassle to try to prove the thing's not a bomb, and I
- usually have about 60 seconds to make my flight).
-
- The one caveat with a soft case is the ethernet connection. It's attached to the
- motherboard, and sticks out. If you bounce it off of a something hard, you could really
- screw up the motherboard :-)
-
- Hard disk drives have come a long way in robustness in the last few years. As long as
- it's turned off, the should be well parked over a non-used space (this is conjecture,
- could be wrong, I use the concept to support my abuse).
