  12. 1) What is the latest version of system 7 - the upgrade kit Apple
  13. shipped be yesterday has 7.0.  I've seen/used 7.0.1 dated April 1991,
  14. and there was a patch dish in the upgrade kit that was dated in 1992.
  15. Has nothing been done since then - Apple mentioned a 7.1 in beta, but
  16. they had no info...

  18. 2a) How can the IIci run faster - would a video card (thus offloading
  19. the 68030) help, or would it require an accelerated card?

  21. 2b) Would adding memory (5->8Mb) or rearranging the memory help (where
  22. the video ram resides)?

  24. 2c) I assume adding a cache card will help - does the size matter
  25. (32, 64 or 128 Kb).  In the workstation world, the larger the better,
  26. but for a Mac??

  29. that I seek the knowledge of the experts on this stuff (and the local
  30. service jocks don't seem all that sharp)
