- I've been trying to get some of the MacHack contest winners up and
- on-line in >> MAC.ARCHIVE.UMICH.EDU << over the past month or two.
- The CD-Rom has just arrived in my mailbox, and with it, e-mail
- addresses of many of the developers who did those hacks. I'll try to
- contact them as I'd like to have official permission from each
- person to add their hacks and source to our archive. If you
- did one for MacHack (or any other developers convention) and it's
- Public Domain or Shareware, send me e-mail, send me the files!! I'd
- love to be able to add them to our archive.
-
- Here are the ones we have online so far (from my memory, and I'm looking
- at the index file, which is available in the "00help" directory as
- the "index.txt" file....)
-
-
- SD/ALARM 567 6/22/92 BinHex4.0,StuffItDeluxe3.0
- /mac/sound/sounds/silentalarmnot.sit.hqx
-
- When you Mac detects a noise in the room (you set the
- sensitivity), it sets off an obnoxiously funky loud noise just
- like a car alarm. C source included.
-
- GR/WINDOWS 98 7/15/92 BinHex4.0,Compact1.33
- /mac/graphics/graphicsutil/windows3.0.cpt.hqx
-
- A Macintosh port of Windows (tm), the way cool user interface
- that makes IBM users feel better about their machines. Works
- just like the real thing!
-
- INIT/BAIL 53 6/20/92 BinHex4.0,Compact1.33
- /mac/system.extensions/init/bail.cpt.hqx
-
- Ever launch a nice large application (by mistake) and have to wait
- a while for it to load before you can quit? Now, just hit the
- mouse button and it aborts the launch instantly (coooool). Think
- C source code included.
-
- INIT/NOT 23 7/3/92 BinHex4.0,Compact1.33
- /mac/system.extensions/init/not.cpt.hqx
-
- Frustrated with downer dialog boxes? This extension changes
- all the negative dialogs to positives and then puts a "Not" into
- the OK button position. Wayne and Garth would be proud.
-
- SD/RAPMASTER 831 6/20/92 BinHex4.0,Compact1.33
- /mac/sound/sounds/rapmaster1.0.cpt.hqx
-
- You can rap just like the pros do (only you have a cooler
- computer). Scratch a Perry Como record with your mouse through
- six different styles of beats on the "beatbox" and "bass"lines...
- effects included do chriping, hit, bells and claps. You can even
- record your raps via your microphone!
-
- SD/BELLCHOIR 54 8/8/92 BinHex4.0,Compact1.33
- /mac/sound/sounds/bellchoir.cpt.hqx
-
- One Macintosh is a "conductor", the other Macs on the network
- are the "chorus members". Together, they all play music.
- Uses AppleEvents and new Sound Manager calls, so System 7 is
- required. Includes Think C source.
-
