- I will take my Mac from the US to South America and would
- like to get some hints on how to do it.
-
- It's a IIsi and I'm taking the CPU, a monitor and a
- printer.
-
- There seem to be 3 (non-exclusive) alternatives:
-
- 1. as carry-on in a flight
- 2. shipped by air separately
- 3. shipped surface (truck+ship) separately
-
- Checked-in luggage does not look like a good idea to me, and
- I'm considering (1) for the CPU only. As for the monitor &
- printer, I have the impression that air shipping would be
- the safest (in terms of avoiding damage) though more
- expensive. Is this true?
-
- There's a large number of air freight companies to choose
- from. Does anyone have experience to give me hints on which
- companies are good and which to avoid?
-
- Any comments regarding this matter will be greatly
- appreciated. Thanks in advance,
-
